Old fishing villages, stately captain's houses, picturesque harbors, seaside resorts and one of the most varied coastal landscapes in the Baltic Sea region await you on the cycle tour across Fischland, Darss & Zingst. Take your time to explore the various charms of the Baltic Sea landscape: Endless fine sandy beaches, the dark blue sea, varied nature and, in between, places with interesting history. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to see cranes resting in the Bodden waters or witness the rutting of the stags in the dune landscape at Darsser Ort. The cycle tour across Fischland, Darss & Zingst is suitable for everyone, although the wind can sometimes be challenging.
Day 1 Arrival in Stralsund
The UNESCO World Heritage Site and Hanseatic city offers romantic harbors and historic brick Gothic houses. Stralsund's landmark is the town hall ensemble in the old town.
Day 2 Stralsund-Fischland, 34-54 km/ 21-34 mi + train ride
The pre-Pomeranian coastal landscape and small villages characterize the cycle tour to the amber town of Ribnitz-Damgarten. The museum and amber factory are well worth a visit.
Day 3 Day off or
trip to Warnemünde/Rostock 10-56 km/6-35 mi + boat trip
Do you prefer a more quiete or a little more active day? You decide how to spend it! A stroll along the Fischland beach or a cycle tour along the Baltic Sea cycle path towards Warnemünde/Rostock?
Day 4 Fischland-Zingst, 43-63 km/27-39 km
You cycle along beautiful dyke paths along the narrow headland of Fischland. A stopover in the famous artists' village of Ahrenshoop is well worthwhile. The pier in Zingst is famous for its diving gondola; the sunsets there are a special natural spectacle.
Day 5 Day off or trip to the Darss 16-36 km/ 10-22 mi
If you want to do some cycling today, we recommend a bike tour far out onto the peninsula. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the sea air and wind in your hair, white shells and the typical Baltic Sea sand that squeaks lightly between your toes as you walk.
Day 6 Prerow/Zingst-Stralsund, 44-66 km/ 27-41 mi
You cycle back along the peninsula via Zingst to Pramort. From there, cross the Bodden over the Meiningen Bridge to the mainland. Storks, old manor houses, meadow valleys and forests dominate the impressions on the way back to Stralsund.
